When a coin passes through a traditional mechanism, it completes an electrical circuit, sending a precise pulse to the game's main board to register a credit. Cashless system interfaces are wired into the same connection points. When a valid digital payment is confirmed, the interface sends an identical electrical pulse, tricking the machine into believing a coin was inserted.
